Tim Bakonyi has always had an appreciation and a passion for fine tools, whether its a finely tuned mechanical watch or a precision firearm or a blade.

      His passion for knives started at a young age while exploring his back yard in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and the Coastal Rainforests of British Columbia. It was on these excursions that he learned that one of the most important tools he relied on was his edged instruments. It was through many experiences with many different types of knives that Tim realized that he could modify them to best suite his needs. Although there are many great knives on the market Tim felt there was room for improvement and It was at this time he began to develop the foundation for the first knives that after many improvements have become the knives of Trouble Blades..

      After many years of hard work ,blood, sweat, and tears our build philosophy has remained uncompromised, High quality materials, Low part count, Uncomplicated but extremely effective design, and our confidence in every tool we put out ( if we would not personally carry it, it does not leave the shop .). Countless hours are put into each and every knife to ensure there reliability and longevity of every tool we produce

We do this because we love to and it is a lifestyle for us not to just make money ..
